| Some of the world's most expensive mirrors use Dielectric coating, which can distort the surface and cause aberrations in the reflected light. Though Dielectric coats cost nearly double that of Aluminum-coats, at Olivon Scopes & Optics, we use Aluminum-coats for most of our mirrors. The reasoning behind that is to provide the highest quality materials to produce the mirror, with super precise machines to make it super ultra-flat, and provide the best viewing enjoyment with a coat that doesn't distort your mirror over time.
If that reasoning makes sense with you, then the Clarion 2", 90 degree Ultra-Flat Mirror is what we would like to introduce to you. The mirror itself is manufactured by Synta, a super ultra-flat mirror, not found in some other so-called 'quality' diagonals in the market. With complementing 2" eyepieces, the Clarion is capable of allowing a wider field of view. The Clarion includes an adaptor to attach 1.25" eyepieces, and has another adaptor for use with refractor telescopes as well.
Notes:
The diagonal has 2 exterior colors, silver plate+black metal or whole black color metal, we ship them randomly. |
