If you plan on using a zoom behind this unit, you'll want to get one that mounts low or get a riser for the sight (they don't line up very well).
A new addition to the Sightmark Reflex Sight line, the Sightmark Ultra Shot Pro Spec Night Vision QD provides shooters with a premium product to enhance any shooting experience. Featuring a quick detach mount for rapid removal, the Ultra Shot Pro Spec Night Vision QD allows shooters to effectively adapt their firearm to the situation at hand. The Sightmark Ultra Shot Pro Spec’s double pane glass lens system eliminates parallax and retains accuracy when fired from the periphery of the lens.

The featured Interlok internal locking system of the Ultra Shot Pro Spec Night Vision QD holds zero extremely well, so the shooter does not have to continually re-adjust the sight in the field. Featuring a tactical, matte black finish and all aluminum construction, the Sightmark Ultra Shot Pro Spec Night Vision QD enhances durability, making it operable in various environments. Equipped with a night vision mode, the user can mount the Ultra Shot Pro Spec in front of a night vision monocular in order to create a co-witnessed riflescope set up. Outfitted with four reticle patterns for maximum customization, the Ultra Shot Pro Spec provides precision accuracy day or night. This optic is all that i wanted & more!!! Very solid build, attractive price, & functions perfect. No its not an Eotech or Aimpoint & i cant say i would deploy with it on my duty rifle but anything short of that & im on board. This thing is a really solid piece & i would even consider it a good option for a light duty weapon. My work weapon has an Aimpoint & ive used Eotech's before. Their pieces are top shelf but this piece is no more than one shelf below at a huge discount!!!

Have owned 2 of these for over a year. Both have held up wonderfully. I found out the hard way that they are waterproof and VERY shock resistant. I've dropped mine and it held zero like a champ.

This is not meant to compete with the EOtech or Aimpoint units; however, it does. The only downside is the low battery life (only 2-2.5 hours of actual operation time on high power). I usually take a couple of extra batteries with me anytime I go on a trip.

Using the SightMark Ultra Shot Pro w/NV for awhile now. Have mounted it on a 10" M4 Machinegun and Adams Arms 16" piston 5.45 Carbine. This is a great sight for the money if you don't have the change to go to a $375 Eotech 510. Here are the Pros: Has it's own QD mount but you have to remove Shroud to tighten nut as far as I can tell. Haven't tried yet as it is just tight enough for now. The multiple reticules are great and easy to cycle thru. I have noticed that when I put red or black shotgun shell hulls out to shoot that the red ones turn black?? Here in AZ it's pretty sunny so light wasn't a problem. You have both eyes open but when the eye behind the SightMark see's the red go black you have to blink to get the other eye to see the color. The NV setting works great with my QD PVS14 night Vision. I always test the PVS14 behind dot sights to see how much light the sight sucks away from the night vision and the SightMark isn't to bad, seems the same or a little better than my Eotech. To get better performance from the PVS14 I sometimes mount the dot sights way forward on the forearm rail so I get a brighter peripheral view around me and still see the red dot. The Con side of this sight is the battery it takes is a AG5, BUT ordered 10 off Amazon for cheap so I guess that's not a con. So far so good. I will mount it on a POF-308 later to see how it handles recoil but don't see it as a problem.
