To further encourage more customer reviews, we will be giving away three of our most popular hunting products to the top three reviews at the end of 2010. Receipients will have the choice between the following:
Each review will contain no less than a hundred words and must provide any pros and cons associated to the product in view. Review
My wife got me the T-80ED Spotting Scope for my birthday about a month ago. Knowing I had a passion in birding and the natural wilderness, this was a perfect gift for me. About a week later, I was able to bring it out for some field testing. The location in question was Stanley Park. Some friends had told me they have seen some eagles flying around the north western corner of the park, so I went there with the scope and tripod that came with it.
After I attached the scope to the tripod and the eyepiece to the scope, I immediately looked through it and adjusted accordingly. I noticed the super clarity of the lense and very minor abberation to the sides. The focus knob was easy to roll and the eyepiece lip allowed that extra bit of comfort when I flipped it out. The zoom distance was also quite far. What I really liked aside from the sharpness of the scope is the sturdiness of the tripod. The overall product with the scope and tripod is on the heavier side, but that is the only downside to bigger scopes. The other thing I liked is how the scope bag can stay on for easier repacking.
