Armasight Nemesis 6x Gen 2+ Night Vision Rifle Scope IR810 infrared illuminator VIDEO Customer ReviewsArmasight Nemesis 6x This is an excellent scope for the cost. I mounted mine on a Savage
model 10 chambered in .223, and it shoots groups the size of a quarter
at 100 yards. The scope's design makes it easy to turn on and off, and
has three rails to mount IR lights/lasers/whatever. With a good IR
light, like a Streamlight Super Tac IR, the scope can see clearly out
about 500 yards on a starry moonless night. The included IR light is
okay at short ranges, but the Streamlight really extends the usable
range.
The included "remote cord" would also be really neat on an AR platform
rifle. It's simple enough to hook up to the scope, has a few inches of
cord length, and hook-and-loop (Generic velcro, I'm guessing) fasteners
to secure it to a weapon easily. I tested it's functionality, and it
worked okay. I couldn't find a way to mount it to my bolt-action gun, so
I put it back in the box. If you want this scope on an AR, the remote
seems like a really nice way of turning it on and off without taking
your hands off the grips.
Oh, and batteries are included. 2 generic CR123A style batteries. One
for the scope, and one for the included IR illuminator. I've only used
the scope for about three hours, so I can't tell how long they last. The
scope has an advertised battery life of 60 hours according to the
manual.
One of the things I don't like are the turrets. They work, and can be
adjusted, but are small and my winter hunting gloves just slide around
on them. I'd like it if it came standard with large "tactical" style
turrets.
Overall, I'm happy with the way the works. It meets all of my
expectations for a medium range scope and is low-cost compared to
competing Gen 2 scopes.
Pros: Cost, accuracy, features, extras included in box.
Cons: Turrets small and do not accomodate gloves
Good Scope for the Money I bought one of these scopes about 6 months ago after seeing one a
friend had. I suppose you could get a "better" scope if you paid a
couple thousand more dollars, but this one seems to be up to the task.
The scope is clear and adjusts easily in daytime or nighttime. The IR
illuminator included is adequate for most situations (low to medium
moonlight) If the moon is in one of the fuller stages, you can see
excellent without the IR. I added a TLR 1 IR Illuminator (streamlight)
and it makes the night absolutely daytime. Battery life is great if you
use the Lithium batteries. Crosshair is a Duplex with the center
illuminated. The Scope holds Zero very well also. No Issues.
I have used this scope for 6 months and have killed 11 Coyotes in 4
months with it mounted on a Savage .204. It's amazing how the Animals
act differently at Night...Not as wary and looking around all the
time....they know THEY have the Advantage....Till Now.
