Vixen Optics' Berlebach Report 472 Wood Tripod takes advantage of Berlebach's old-world European craftsmanship to provide a beautiful and stable viewing platform to carry Vixen's Porta II mount. The mounting head is made of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy, and the legs are made of ash with clear varnish to bring out the grain in the wood.

It features a 33 lb payload capacity and the height is adjustable from 37-65" for comfortable viewing with most OTAs by most users. The angle-of-leg-spread system is designed so that the specified loads of the tripods are also guaranteed at a maximum inclination of the tripod legs. The angle of spread can be fixed by sliding the tray up or down the the legs to set the angle at 20°, 40°, 60°, 80°, and 100°. At the ends of each leg are adjustable thread-mounted rubber-ball feet to provide a slip-resistant footing. Each foot can be adjusted by turning the feet up or down for precision leveling.
