Description

Designed specifically for their 9.25" EdgeHD optical tube assembly (OTA), the Celestron 0.7x Focal Reducer Lens speeds its focal ratio from an f/10 to a much faster f/7.1 for drastically reduced exposure times with the same results, and wider fields of view. The reducer maintains the EdgeHD optic's flat-field performance through the use of a 4-element lens system using Lanthanum glass, with blackened edges, and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics. The Reducer is made to attach directly to the back of the EdgeHD OTA which keeps the same back focus for cameras and accessories so there is no need for new gear. A 60mm clear aperture is optimized for larger full-frame sensors to avoid vignetting of the scene.
