Celestron Telescopes & Astronomy Equipment in Canada

Celestron is one of the world's most recognized astronomy and optical brands, known for computerized telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain optical systems, astrophotography equipment, telescope mounts, spotting scopes, binoculars and astronomy accessories.

Brandon Optics is a long-standing Celestron dealer in Canada, with a direct dealer relationship extending back more than a decade. We supply Celestron telescopes, mounts, optical systems and astronomy accessories to Canadian customers, with current product information, Canadian pricing, promotional offers and product assistance.

Our Celestron selection includes major product families such as NexStar, StarSense Explorer, EdgeHD, CPC, Advanced VX, CGX and RASA, along with telescope accessories and other optical and observation equipment. Product availability varies by model, and specialized systems may be available by order.

Celestron Telescope & Astronomy Systems

Celestron offers telescope systems ranging from accessible beginner platforms to advanced optical systems designed for serious visual astronomy and astrophotography. Choosing between them depends on aperture, portability, mount type, observing goals and imaging requirements.

For detailed navigation by telescope family and system type, visit the Celestron Product Lines page.

NexStar & StarSense – Computerized & Assisted Astronomy

Celestron NexStar telescopes are among the brand's best-known computerized observing systems. They combine portable optical designs with GoTo technology for automatic object location and tracking, making them suitable for users who want convenient access to lunar, planetary and deep-sky observing.

StarSense Explorer takes a different approach by using smartphone-assisted sky recognition and navigation. It is particularly useful for newer observers who want help locating celestial objects while retaining the simplicity of a manually operated telescope.

Celestron EdgeHD – Advanced Optical Performance

Celestron EdgeHD systems are designed to provide a flatter, better-corrected field than conventional Schmidt-Cassegrain designs. They are widely used by advanced observers and astrophotographers who require strong image quality across a larger field.

EdgeHD optical tubes can be configured with several Celestron mounting platforms, allowing users to build systems for visual astronomy, planetary imaging or deep-sky astrophotography.

Advanced VX, CGX & CGX-L Mount Systems

Celestron's equatorial platforms support increasingly demanding telescope and imaging configurations. Advanced VX provides an accessible equatorial platform for visual astronomy and imaging, while CGX and CGX-L are designed for heavier optical systems and more advanced astrophotography applications.

When selecting a mount, payload requirements should include not only the optical tube but also cameras, guiding equipment, focusers and other imaging accessories.

CPC & RASA Systems

CPC and CPC Deluxe HD telescopes combine larger-aperture optical systems with computerized fork mounts, providing a stable and integrated platform for advanced visual observation and selected imaging applications.

The Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) takes a specialized approach. Its fast optical design is intended primarily for wide-field deep-sky imaging and is particularly suited to astrophotographers seeking efficient light collection over relatively short exposure times.

Celestron Spotting Scopes, Binoculars & Accessories

Celestron's product range extends beyond astronomical telescopes. The company also offers spotting scopes, binoculars, monoculars and optical accessories for wildlife observation, nature viewing, travel and general outdoor use.

Celestron astronomy accessories include eyepieces, filters, adapters, power systems, cases, dew-control equipment, StarSense products and other components used to configure or expand telescope systems.

Choosing the Right Celestron Telescope or System

Rather than choosing only by aperture or price, consider how the telescope will actually be used:

• Easy guided observing: StarSense Explorer
• Portable computerized observing: NexStar
• Advanced optical performance: EdgeHD
• Integrated large-aperture observing: CPC / CPC Deluxe HD
• Equatorial tracking and astrophotography: Advanced VX, CGX or CGX-L
• Fast wide-field deep-sky imaging: RASA
