The FLIR LS-XR 640 x 512 Thermal Monocular is a handheld thermal imaging device designed primarily for law enforcement professionals, but can be useful to anyone. You can view, record, or relay images and videos of thermal signatures through fog, smoke, and foliage during the day or at night. At the core of this device is the 640 x 512 VOx uncooled microbolometer that operates at room temperature at a 30 Hz refresh rate. This thermal imager features a 35mm lens with an 18 x 14° field of view, 2-8x digital zoom, and a number of palettes and digital enhancements like the FLIR Proprietary Digital Detail Enhancement. You can view scenery on the built-in 640 x 480 LCD display or relay 640 x 512 NTSC or PAL videos to external displays and recorders. To enhance user experience, the monocular offers a simple but effective control pad and an in-view menu.
This thermal imaging device is packaged into a lightweight, durable, and ergonomic polymer body. Its rubberized covering provides a non-slip grip, and its rubber eye cup offers comfort and protects eyepiece optics from rain and snow.
