In 1609, Galileo Galilei first looked through his telescope, and changed science forever. His discoveries provided solid evidence that disproved the prevailing belief that the Earth was the center of the Universe. Throughout history, scientists such as Johannes Kepler and Sir Isaac Newton further revolutionized the design of the telescope. To celebrate the International Year of Astronomy, Sky-Watcher is proud to present the commemorative edition of Newton’s telescope—Heritage.

Good First Scope
I bought this scope as a first scope for my sister who has shown an interst in Astronomy but who has MS and has limited ability to move and set up a larger telescope. I tested it on the moon last night and it gave me nice clear and crisp views of the moon. The two included eyepieces actually gave decent views of the moon. Pro's - nice clear views - stock eyepieces are acceptable - lightweight and easy to use Cons -limited magnification -Red dot finder would have been easier.
