InfiRay introduces the Mate MAL38, successor to the
well-known CL42, a new device in the upper mid-range. As a
multifunctional thermal imaging device, the Mate Clip-On series can not
only be used as an attachment device but also as a monocular for pure
wildlife observation.
- 18 mk High-end sensor with 12µm InfiRay technology
- 384 x 288px detector with 38mm objective
- Compact design with turret focus ring
- Detection of heat sources from approximately 1950m
- High-resolution 1024x768 OLED display
- Menu display can be adjusted to the magnification of the riflescope
- Four different zeroing settings can be stored
The contrast sharpness and overall image quality are significantly
better than the predecessor model CL42, making this device a real
highlight. "Streaks" or a "blurred image" are largely a thing of the
past thanks to improved image processing. This, coupled with the very
sensitive sensor technology with <18mk and the 12µm
pixel pitch, results in a significantly more harmonious and clearer
thermal image. Furthermore, this device allows for ultra-precise
adjustments in the X and Y axes of 1 MOA. The
adjustability makes the device one of the most precise on the market,
capable of consistently hitting a 3cm area at 100m. Additionally, it is
possible to save up to four different profiles, allowing the device to be easily used with various daylight optics simultaneously.
The Mate series also offers some interesting optional accessories: a range finder (LRF) with integrated battery, a viewfinder with 4x magnification, and an external battery pack that extends runtime by 7 hours.
A genuine laser rangefinder is perhaps the missing piece in relation to
attachment devices, which many hunters have been waiting for. InfiRay
has addressed this issue, allowing a laser rangefinder module to be
mounted directly on the Mate using a short Picatinny rail. The LRF
module is equipped with a standard 18650 battery and also serves as an
external power bank for the Mate. Thus, the Mate Clip-On is the
strongest and most well-equipped clip-on currently available on the
market.
Unlike night vision devices, which only function with residual light
or require an IR illuminator, the Mate MAL38 can also be used in
complete darkness. It can also detect heat sources in adverse weather
conditions such as fog, rain, snow, or through partial obstacles like
branches, tall grass, or bushes.
The Mate MAL38 features a Wi-Fi interface with app support and can capture images/videos of your hunting experiences.
The main control panel on the top of the Mate can now be detached and used as a Bluetooth remote control, allowing all settings to be made ergonomically and comfortably by the user.
