The PFN640+ is blazing a new trail with features never-before-seen in a mini
helmet-mounted thermal, such as onboard recording, onboard video
play-back, and a high definition AMOLED display. The PFalcon 640+ also features
iRay’s latest high-performance 640x512, 12 µm sensor technology, MATRIX
III processing, and a manual-focus f/1.0 objective lens to create an
image that is unlike anything in its class.
The PFN640+ is built tough with an aluminum housing. When weapon
mounted it is designed to stand up to heavy recoil and is rated up to
7mm / 300 WM. Additionally, its rated for IP67 water ingress
protection.
Compared
to the MH25, the PFN640+ has a more rugged aluminum body, giving it more
functionality and versatility: it can be used as a handheld, can be
helmet mounted, weapon mounted (standalone), and used as a clip-on in
front of a day scope (1-6x LPVOs). By comparison, the MH25 is not rated
for weapon recoil and but is a good option for handheld or helmet
mounted use.
Additionally, the PFalcon 640+ (compared to the MH25) does not require an
eyepiece swap for side-by-side compatibility with a PVS-14 in a bridged
setup (we haven't done a lot of testing on this yet due to the newness
of the product but more to come).
iRay’s cutting edge manufacturing techniques and the highest-quality
components on the market combine to produce an optic that is a step
ahead of the competition in size, weight, and performance. The PFalcon 640+ has the features night hunters and law enforcement professionals
want and is more capable than optics twice the price and twice the size.
