Comparison review: IRay Rico RH50, Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 & IRay Tube TL35
It was only around 18 months ago that IRay, or InfiRay if you prefer,
were little more than a cheap alternative to a Pulsar. A little rough
around the edges perhaps, but functional, and perhaps more importantly,
affordable. There’s been something of a shift of late with IRay now
feeling confident to go toe-to-toe with Pulsar in terms of performance
and price.
Customer Reviews
Not the Rico 42 but I’ve just bought the Rico 50 and traded in my xp50
thermion for it!! Thermion plus points=great idea with it being a scope
like thermal rather than a boxy unit as most thermals are! Easy you to
use, good menu, fast switch on. Negative points = not many actually apart
from being crap resolution on the zoom when you need to go out further
than 200(but up to 20@ yards it’s a good bit of kit.
The Rico plus points= resolution is fantastic and you can easily shoot
to 300 without to much fuss, good solid unit, easy to work and set
up(same as thermion).comes with 2 battery’s that last ages,good mounting
bracket.
negative points= bit slower turn on,slightly heavier, slightly bulkier, crap from lense cap(but it works).
In a ideal world you would have the design of the thermion (which is
unbeatable) but the resolution of the rico, I like the Rico abd am glad I
made the change because the thermion’s resolution was just to annoying
for me as there’s none of my stuff under 200 yards.
just my option though plenty folk will say something else
