The Leupold 10x40 Mark 4^® LR/T™ M1 Riflescope delivers confidence building performance in an extremely rugged & dependable package for the most discerning of tactical shooters. The optics are world-class and its rugged dependability defies verbal description. These are the workhorses of the Mark 4 line; the fixed power objective and more robust main tube keep everything simple, stable and repeatable. The tracking on all of the Mark 4 riflescopes is superb, providing an accurate return to zero regardless of the number of clicks you need to engage for correction. Provided your rifle and cartridge are up to the job, and you do your part, surgically precise shot placement will be a recurring event every time you pull the trigger.

To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.

Mil-Dot Reticle

The Mil-Dot reticle is the standard reticle used by the US Army and Marine Corps that enables long range distance calculations. A series of dots upon the cross hairs gives the shooter the ability to judge bullet drop and the proper hold over for accurate long range shot placement.
This is a fixed power scope, and as such it is not affected by front or rear reticle positioning.
