Leupold keeps their successful tradition of delivering state of the art sport optics alive with persistent attention to detail, precision and quality. This American optics company, located in Portland, Oregon, pioneered the process of nitrogen purging to waterproof riflescopes in 1947. Since then and to this day Leupold continues to develop new technologies, and use advanced materials to push the envelope to produce some of the world's finest sport optics.
Accurate long range shot placement can not be attributed to luck or chance. Talent, experience, nerves of steel and proficiency must all come together in a fraction of a second when you make the decision to pull the trigger. This is not the time for equipment failure and the resulting excuses. Lives are on the line, and the stakes are high. Immediately after your cheek welds to the comb of your stock a brilliant sight picture registers; now you can get down to the matters at hand. The Leupold 10x40 Mark 4® LR/T™ M1 Riflescope delivers confidence building performance in an extremely rugged & dependable package for the most discerning of tactical shooters. The optics are world-class and its rugged dependability defies verbal description. These are the workhorses of the Mark 4 line; the fixed power objective and more robust main tube keep everything simple, stable and repeatable. The tracking on all of the Mark 4 riflescopes is superb, providing an accurate return to zero regardless of the number of clicks you need to engage for correction. Provided your rifle and cartridge are up to the job, and you do your part, surgically precise shot placement will be a recurring event every time you pull the trigger.
To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.
