Meopta MeoStar S2 Mounting Rail
A spotting scope is used on a tripod to eliminating shaking, and to allow hands free use. If center of mass is placed too far away from the tilting axis, the spotting scope tips to the front or back. This mounting rail allows shifting of the spotting scope and thus balancing. The scope is connected via photo thread, and also the tripod. For balancing, the upper part of the rail is shifted against the bottom part. If balance is reached, a lever is moved to lock the position.
