Product Highlights
  • Schmidt-Pechan Roof Prisms
  • M* Anti-Reflection Fully Multi-Coated
  • Short 5-foot Minimum Focus Distance
  • IPX7-Rated Waterproof & Submersible

Outfitted with an atypical magnification and objective lens size plus multiple proprietary lens coatings and phase-corrected Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms, the Minox 7.5x44 RAPID Binoculars' optical system is designed to be your go-to optic when you're out on the hunt and need to stalk with stealth with uncompromising performance.

This binoculars produce bright and clear high-contrast images with true color fidelity across a generous field of view. Their 7.5x magnification allows you to keep your game in sight through dense brush and brambles, while their short 5-foot close-focus distance enables exceptionally detailed observation of birds, bugs, and insects at feeders or bushes. Complementing the optical performance is an exceptionally long eye relief that reduces eyestrain and ultra-wide exit pupil to cover your eye even when your pupils are fully dilated in low-light conditions.

The binoculars open-bridge design helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength or rigidity and provides a large surface area for a secure and steady grip. For long-duration observation sessions, the RAPID can be mounted on a tripod via a user-supplied optional adapter. Rubber armoring helps to give protection from drops and impacts while helping to provide a non-slip grip. Designed for durability, the lightweight Makrolon polycarbonate chassis is O-ring sealed to an IPX7 rating and submersible to 16 feet, and the binoculars are nitrogen filled for fogproof performance. Twist-up eyecups provide a custom-fit eye relief for use with or without eyewear.

Optical Performance

  • Relatively low 7.5x magnification draws distant subjects close for detailed observation while preserving a wide field of view, long eye relief, and wide exit pupil to enhance comfort
  • 44mm objective lenses provide enhanced light-gathering ability versus the more popular 40mm and 42mm size without adding excessive weight and bulk
  • Schmidt-Pechan prism design corrects the view while allowing for thinner optical tubes versus the more common Abbe-Koenig design, making stalking and moving silently through brush easier
  • Phase-corrected prisms eliminate internal interference, producing crisp and clear high-resolution views without ghosting or halos
  • Proprietary M* anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics maximize light transmission for brighter images with neutral color representation and improved contrast and clarity
  • Short 5-foot minimum focus distance enables detailed observation of small subjects like insects, hummingbirds, flowers, fauna, and flora
  • Apparent field of view approaches wide angle to provide sweeping views and an immersive observational experience
  • Spacious 400-foot field of view at 1000 yards

Use and Handling

  • Open-bridge/dual-hinge design reduces weight without sacrificing strength or stability
  • Individually focusing eyepieces allow for precise focusing, even if the user's eyesight is not 20/20
  • No refocusing required from 66 feet (20m) to infinity, allowing fast target acquisition and tracking of subjects without the distraction of having to worry about focusing
  • -2/+5 dioptric correction on both eyes allows users to compensate for individual eye prescriptions
  • Twist-up click-stop rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyeglasses and sunglasses
  • Integrated 1/4"-20 socket on the front of the bridge hinge accepts optional tripod adapters for hands-free use
  • Exceptional 20mm eye relief reduces eyestrain for improved viewing comfort during long glassing sessions
  • Wide 5.9mm exit pupil will completely cover pupils as they open and fully dilate in low light to ensure the entire scene remains in view without vignetting

Construction Details

  • Bridge design reduces weight and provides more gripping surface to make it easy and comfortable to use one-handed
  • Lightweight and durable Makrolon polycarbonate chassis
  • Chassis material maintains a constant, neutral temperature in extreme environments and is temperature resistant, preventing the expansion and contraction that is common with metal, which can cause the optical components to move out of alignment over time and prevent sharp focus
  • IPX7-rated to be waterproof and submersible to 16 feet (5m) to handle falls into streams and use in driving rain
  • Nitrogen-filled waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in environmental conditions or temperatures
  • Rubberized covering provides positive slip-resistant handling
  • Tethered objective lens caps and 1-piece ocular rainguard protect the lenses without the fear of losing the caps when using the binoculars
  • Broad 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C) operating temperature range
