The LRB 6000CI Laser Rangefinder Binocular from Newcon Optik is a laser range finder system that enables instant distance, speed, and vertical and horizontal angular measurements. The laser range finding technology allows target acquisition at longer distances with better reliability under wider ranges of weather conditions. The good optics of this binocular provides sharp, clear images under any observation conditions. The unit utilizes time-of-flight method of distance and speed measurement. The system sends invisible, eye-safe laser pulses to the target and returned pulses are captured by the digital circuitry. The time difference is used to calculate the distance to the target.

This laser rangefinder binocular features a built-in digital compass which measures an angle between the optical axis and direction to the magnetic North Pole. It also features a built-in inclinometer that allows elevation angle measurements and height (depth) calculations. The RS-232 interface allows immediate data acquisition by any computer. It is GPS compatible thereby allowing protocol level or built-in gating capability with 100m step first, last, and automatic target acquisition. It has a rubberized finish and an aluminum frame. Also it is shockproof, water resistant, and has a wide operational range of climatic and atmospheric conditions.
