If you’re in the market for top-level thermal imaging and your budget
isn’t strained, the Helion 2 PRO is definitely one of the devices that
should be on your list to consider. It may not win each individual
category and score, but the overall package is a winner. Helion 2 XP50 Pro. What's new?
Large apertute lens
The characteristics of thermal imaging optics have a decisive influence on a thermal imagers ability to capture even the lowest radiation levels. Ultimate detection efficiency is achieved with the fast lens of the Helion 2 XP50 Pro (F50/1.0) thermal imager in combination with highly sensitive thermal sensor. The Helion 2 XP50 Pro gives users the best quality, most detailed & high-contrast, informative imagery every time, even during rain or fog, when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal.
Ultra-high-strength magnesium alloy housing
The lightweight magnesium alloy housing standsout due to a high structural strength and resistance to external mechanical and climatic loads. The housing material effectively removes and dissipates the heat generated by the electronics, ensuring the operational stability of the thermal imager and maintains a high quality image during prolonged observation.
Full colour HD AMOLED display
The new 1024x768 HD AMOLED display has improved colour rendering, is power saving, offers high contrast imagery and a quick-response, as well as providing clear & smooth images when observing on-the-move or in cold conditions. The new Helion 2 XP50 expands on the tremendous success of the first
generation Helion series with higher performance and new features. A new
and advanced NETD <40 mK sensor produces more precise detail than
ever before. Even when thermal contrast is low, small temperature differences are clearly visible with richly contrasted, high-resolution
imaging. This is a large improvement over the sensors in the first
generation of Helions and it gives much greater sensitivity to
temperature changes.
The Helion 2 is IPX7 waterproof for use all weather conditions,
including blistering heat and bitter cold. The stadiametric rangefinder
makes determining precise distances fast, easy, reliable and
repeatable. The Helion 2 XP50 boasts an uncooled, 640x480 resolution
micro-bolometric sensor, at 17 µm pixel pitch, for highly detailed
imaging. Capturing still images and video is seamless with the Helion’s
built-in video recorder. Image and video content is stored internally
and can easily be transferred to PC/laptop via wired connection or
wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet with the iOS and Android
compatible Stream Vision App.
In addition to user-favorite “white hot” and “black hot” imaging,
Helion 2 scopes offer a robust array of color palettes for true
colorized temperature mapping. Transitioning from color to default
“white hot” during operation is also fast and easy. Helion 2 models
include variable magnification, up to 8x depending on model, and feature
both 2x step-up and smooth, graduated magnification for a truly
optimum, customized field of view.
The Helion 2 includes the new Pulsar IPS7 rechargeable battery for
ultra-long battery life. This thermal imaging unit can run 10-12 hours
on one charge.

High resolution 640x480
The
Helion XP is fitted with an uncooled micro-bolometric matrix -
640x480px with 17µm pixel pitch – that provides highly detailed images. The best image definition
A
heat sink, located on the device's body, effectively prevents heat
build-up from the sensor and other components while also significantly
reducing temperature and noise sensitivity - especially between
calibrations. Variable magnification
Helion
XP models include up to 8x magnification and feature both 2x step-up
and smooth, graduated magnification for a truly optimum, customised
field of view. High image frequency
At a high refresh rate of 50Hz, the Helion series provides comfortable viewing throughout dynamic, rapid motion. Detection distance up to 1800m
Depending on the model, Helion thermal imaging scopes can detect man-size heat signatures up to 1800 metres away. PiP (Picture in Picture) Functionality
PiP allows you to see a zoomed image simultaneously with the main image in a dedicated window within the viewfinder. Built-in video recording
Capturing
still images and video is seamless with the Helionl’s built-in video
recorder. Image and video content is stored internally and can easily be
transferred to PC/laptop via wired connection or Wi-Fi. Mobile-friendly (iOS & Android) with remote control and live internet streaming
The
highlight of the Helion is the ability to link via Wi-Fi the device
with Android and iOS based mobile units using the free mobile
application Stream Vision. The Stream Vision software connects the
device with Android/iOS devices which enables you to receive footage in
real time mode, to distantly operate the device with your smartphone and
to stream the footage captured by the device to direct to Youtube. Quick-change B-Pack power units
All
Helions include a progressive autonomous B-Pack power supply consisting
of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS5, 5.2A-h battery pack designed to
deliver up to 8 hours of operation. Higher-powered IPS10 battery packs,
CR123A and AA battery cases are also available and provide a perfect
off-grid power solution. Stadiametric rangefinder
Based
on the estimated heights of observed objects, the stadiametric
rangefinding reticle makes determining distances fast, easy, reliable
and repeatable. Fully waterproof
IPX7
waterproof-rated protection ensures the Helion performs perfectly in
wet weather, even during intense rain, snowfall and submersion in 3 feet
of water for up to 30 minutes. (IEC 60529). Wide range of operating temperatures
With
a frost-resistant AMOLED display, the Helion thermal imaging scope is
designed to deliver flawless performance at an extreme temperature range
of -25°C to +50°C. Fully-functional wireless control (optional)
The
ergonomic, wireless remote control, with encoder wheel, puts the full
range of the Helion’s capabilities at your fingertips for comfortable,
