performance and new features into Pulsar’s next-generation compact
thermal monocular. The Telos is designed to replace the extremely
popular Helion series, but with several improvements. It features a 640
x 480, 12µm thermal sensor and a 50mm F/1.0 high quality germanium
lens, which gives a 3.5-14x magnification with detection range out to
2300 yards.
The Telos LRF XG50 features an NETD <40mK
thermal sensor to produce stunning image quality, even in the worst
weather conditions. Additionally, Pulsar image boost technology
combined with a 1024 x 768 resolution AMOLED display allows the Telos to
provide exceptional detail.
The Pulsar Telos features adjustable objective
focus which allows for ergonomic one-handed use. A built-in Laser
Rangefinder provides precise distance measurement up to 1000 yards. A
non-slip, rubberized housing ensures a comfortable grip, even in damp
conditions. Additionally, it is designed with a simple control layout
for comfortable use by either left, or right-handed users.
This unit is powered by the new LPS 7i
quick-change battery pack which guarantees at least 8 hours of operating
time. The LPS doesn’t require a proprietary charger, but rather uses a
universal USB-C cable for quick recharging. Wireless charging is also
supported. Changing batteries is very simple, and can easily be done in
total darkness.
The Telos LRF XG50 includes all other standard
Pulsar features, such as built-in photo and video recording (with
sound), Wi-Fi connectivity, and Stream Vision 2 App compatibility. It
is also IPX7 rated waterproof and utilizes an extremely rugged housing,
so you can use it in the harshest of weather conditions.
Pulsar Thermal Optics are backed by a 5-year
warranty (see note below) and Pulsar's reputation as an industry leader
in customer service, so buy with the confidence that you will be
enjoying this optic for years to come.
Key Applications of the Pulsar Telos XG50(LRF)
1. Law Enforcement & Tactical Surveillance
Covert surveillance : Detecting suspects or intruders in total darkness, through foliage, or in urban environments.
Search & rescue (SAR) : Finding missing persons in low-visibility areas such as forests, disaster zones, or water.
Border patrol : Long-range detection of human activity or vehicles across difficult terrain, day or night.
Evidence collection : Documenting heat signatures or movement patterns in critical incidents.
2. Hunting & Wildlife Observation
Game detection : Easily spot deer, boars, coyotes, or predators even in complete darkness or fog.
Tracking wounded animals : Detect blood trails or residual heat from injured game.
Scouting & population control : Monitor nocturnal animal behavior or manage nuisance species.
3. Security & Property Monitoring
Perimeter surveillance : Monitor large estates, warehouses, farms, or critical infrastructure at night.
Intrusion detection : See through visual obstructions (bushes, darkness, smoke) and detect unauthorized activity.
Livestock safety : Monitor herds at night or in difficult weather conditions without disturbing them.
4. Industrial & Utility Inspection
Pipeline & electrical grid monitoring : Detect heat leaks or equipment overheating.
Substation & transformer inspections : Identify electrical anomalies or failing components.
Maritime & port safety : Night navigation aid, man-overboard detection, or vessel security.
5. Environmental & Scientific Use
Wildlife conservation : Observe rare or endangered nocturnal species with minimal disturbance.
Habitat research : Study animal migration, nesting, or population distribution based on thermal presence.
Thermal mapping : Conduct forest canopy heat assessments or wetland temperature studies.
