The HAL130SXG tripod supports the system with sturdy aluminum legs.

Vixen Optics A105M II Telescope Optical Tube Assembly

The easy-to-maintain A105M II Telescope Optical Tube Assembly from Vixen Optics is an excellent choice for beginners through experts. Vixen's achromatic objective lens delivers clear images with minimal color fringe. This refractor OTA comes with a flip mirror diagonal for 1.25" and 2" eyepieces, and 60mm and 42mm threads for cameras with T-rings. Also included are a red dot finder scope, tube rings, and a dovetail slide bar.

Vixen Optics SX2 Equatorial Mount with Wireless Unit

The Vixen SX2 Equatorial Mount with Wireless Unit from Explore Scientific introduces remote control from your phone or tablet running the StarBook app. Dual stepper motors provide smooth and virtually vibration-free tracking that runs at up to 250 pps. The mount's full-circle brass wheel gear allows tracking over extremely long periods with little error. The RA and DEC motors are situated inside the mount to reduce interference and act as counterbalance so you don't need counterweights with smaller scopes. When not in use, the counterweight shaft retracts into the mount and out of the way. The mount is powered by an included 12 VDC power adapter that simply plugs into any car/vehicle accessory socket.

The SX2 comes with the StarBook app to help you find, observe, and track celestial objects. Simply tap the object you want to observe on the screen and the mount will slew to it.

The HAL 130SXG Aluminum Tripod from Vixen Optics is compatible with Vixen's Sphinx and GP telescope mounts. The adjustable height allows the user to set the position of the telescope to their liking for easy and comfortable viewing. The top of the tripod, where the mount attaches, is powder-coated for a durable finish that resists flaking and fading. The tripod is also collapsible for convenient storage and portability.
