When you want to install a telescope under a dome, the pier is preferable since it provides better stability than most tripods that are often undersized for the mount. It also prevents the telescope installed on the mount touches one of the tripod legs. Using the column, you can safely use your instrument!
This pier comes with adapter for SkyWatcher EQ6, AZ-EQ6 or CGEM mounts.
Our C82 pier is built in stainless steel and it has a high stiffness and
load capacity, thanks to 5 mm thickness central tube. Together with
flange for mount connection, it is 82 cm high. In this way, if you want
to use to install our WEB230 parabolic antenna (with SkyWatcher EQ6 or
AZ-EQ6 SynScan mounts), you will be sure that this does not touch the
ground even when it points to horizon. When you order C82 pier, you can
choose which connection flange you want, depending on mount to install
in. If you want to install a mount that is not listed as an option,
please contact us and we will produce on request the needed adapter.
