Guide TU Muo 3.0 Series LRF Multispectral Thermal Imaging Rifle Scopes
The Guide TU Muo 3.0 Series combines high-sensitivity thermal imaging, visible-light and low-light digital observation, laser ranging and ballistic support in a traditional 30 mm-tube riflescope platform. Available in 640-class and 1280-class configurations, the series is designed for demanding day, night and adverse-weather observation and lawful hunting applications.
Unlike a conventional thermal-only scope, the TU Muo 3.0 gives the user two complementary imaging channels. Thermal imaging rapidly reveals heat signatures in darkness, vegetation, fog and low-contrast scenes, while the digital channel can provide additional visible scene detail in daylight or suitable low-light conditions.
Two performance levels: choose the TU650MS for a strong balance of 640 × 512 thermal performance, range and value, or the flagship TU1260MS for 1280 × 1024 thermal resolution, a wider detailed thermal image and greater digital-magnification flexibility.

*Published detection range is based on the manufacturer's target assumptions and test conditions. Detection means that a heat source may be noticed; it does not guarantee recognition or identification at the same distance.
Thermal and Digital Imaging in One Scope
The TU Muo 3.0 integrates thermal and digital optical systems for operation across daylight, darkness and low-light environments. Users can rely on thermal contrast for detection, then use the digital channel when visible surface detail and environmental context are helpful. This multispectral approach is particularly useful in changing weather, mixed terrain and extended observation sessions.
- Thermal channel: detects heat signatures independently of visible light.
- Digital channel: provides 1920 × 1080 visible-light and low-light imaging.
- Multiple viewing situations: supports daytime, nighttime and low-light field use.
- Two model choices: 640 × 512 for balanced performance or 1280 × 1024 for premium detail.
ApexVision and 15 mK Thermal Sensitivity
Both models use 12 µm thermal detectors with a manufacturer-rated 15 mK NETD. Lower NETD can help the system distinguish smaller temperature differences, especially in humid, foggy or thermally uniform scenes. Guide's ApexVision architecture and Hyper-Light processing are designed to reduce noise, optimize contrast and preserve fine scene detail.
The TU1260MS adds a 1280 × 1024 detector, providing four times the thermal pixel count of a 640 × 512 sensor. This does not automatically multiply recognition distance, but it can provide substantially more scene detail and retain a more useful image as digital magnification is increased.
1,500-Metre Laser Rangefinder and Ballistic Support
An integrated laser rangefinder measures distance out to a manufacturer-rated 1,500 metres. Range information can be used with the TargetIR Ballistics app, bullet database and ballistic calculator to support informed aiming decisions. Ballistic results remain dependent on accurate rifle, ammunition, environmental and zeroing data and do not replace safe shooting practices.
High-Resolution AMOLED Viewing
The 1.03-inch 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display provides a large, detailed viewing image. A 60 mm eye-relief design supports comfortable positioning, while the familiar 30 mm tube format integrates naturally with many conventional riflescope mounting systems. Always confirm ring spacing, mounting clearance and firearm compatibility before installation.
Extended Power and Hot-Swap Capability
The dual-power design combines built-in batteries with a replaceable standard 18650 battery. Guide rates the series for operation of up to 12 hours under specified conditions, and the external battery can be exchanged to extend field use. Actual operating time varies with temperature, Wi-Fi, recording, display settings and feature usage.
Recording, Connectivity and Smart Functions
- 256 GB internal storage for photos and video
- Audio recording and on-device playback
- Recoil-activated recording for automatic capture
- 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity
- Bluetooth support and optional remote-control capability

Rugged All-Weather Construction
The TU Muo 3.0 Series carries an IP68 protection rating and is specified for recoil energy up to 6,000 joules. Its sealed construction is intended for demanding rain, snow and dusty outdoor environments. Correct mounting, inspection and adherence to the manufacturer's calibre and installation guidance remain essential.
Why Choose the Guide TU Muo 3.0?
- One integrated platform for thermal, visible-light and low-light observation
- Choice of 640 × 512 or flagship 1280 × 1024 thermal resolution
- 15 mK manufacturer-rated thermal sensitivity on both models
- Integrated 1,500 m laser rangefinder and ballistic support
- High-resolution 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display
- Up to 12 hours of operation with replaceable 18650 battery support

For users comparing premium thermal-only scopes, the TU Muo 3.0 offers a different value proposition: it adds a separate digital observation channel without giving up high-end thermal resolution, integrated ranging or a traditional riflescope form factor.
Which Model Should You Choose?
Choose the TU650MS if:
- You want high-quality 640 × 512 thermal imaging with multispectral flexibility.
- You need long-range detection and integrated ranging without moving to the highest price tier.
- You want a balanced system for varied terrain and professional field use.
Choose the TU1260MS if:
- You want the greatest thermal detail available in the TU Muo 3.0 lineup.
- You expect to use digital magnification extensively or observe complex scenes at distance.
- You require a premium 1280-class multispectral thermal riflescope.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the TU Muo 3.0 a thermal scope or a digital night-vision scope?
It is a multispectral riflescope containing both a thermal detector and a separate digital imaging channel. Thermal mode is used for heat detection, while the digital channel provides visible-light and low-light scene information.
Does the TU1260MS see twice as far as the TU650MS?
No. The 1280 × 1024 sensor provides four times as many thermal pixels, but usable detection, recognition and identification also depend on the lens, target size, weather, contrast, magnification and operator experience.
Can thermal imaging see through walls, glass or dense vegetation?
No. A thermal imager detects infrared energy from visible surfaces. It normally cannot see through solid walls or ordinary glass, and vegetation can partially or completely obscure a target.
Are the TU650MS and TU1260MS available for export?
Selected Guide products may be supplied to eligible international destinations. Every export order is subject to product classification, destination, end-user and intended-use review, Canadian export controls and sanctions, manufacturer restrictions and local import requirements. Contact Brandon Optics before ordering internationally.
Is thermal-scope use legal everywhere?
No. Possession, mounting and hunting rules vary by province, territory and country, and may also differ by species and activity. The purchaser is responsible for confirming all applicable laws before purchase and use.
