Guide TN 2.0 Series Thermal Imaging Binoculars with Laser Range Finder
The Guide TN 2.0 Series is designed for users who prefer the comfort and stability of a binocular-style thermal imaging device, especially during extended observation sessions. Unlike a single-eye monocular, the TN Series uses a classic binocular form factor to provide a more natural viewing experience and reduce eye fatigue during long periods of scanning.
With integrated laser rangefinder capability, high-sensitivity thermal sensors, a high-resolution display system, and rugged outdoor construction, the TN 2.0 Series is well suited for wildlife observation, search and rescue, property monitoring, marine/coastal observation, and professional field use.
The TN lineup gives users a practical choice between an entry-level 400-resolution thermal binocular, a higher-detail 640-resolution thermal binocular, and a dual-sensor thermal/low-light model for more versatile observation. Guide’s TN Series is described as using a classic binocular design for reduced fatigue during long observation, with laser rangefinder capability up to approximately 1500m / 1630 yd depending on model and market configuration.

Available Models
Guide TN450LS Thermal Imaging LRF Binocular
400×300 @ 17µm | Laser Range Finder
The Guide TN450LS is the most accessible model in the current TN 2.0 lineup. It offers the comfort of binocular-style viewing, integrated laser rangefinding, and reliable thermal detection performance in a practical field package.
With its 400×300 thermal sensor and 17µm pixel pitch, the TN450LS is suitable for users who want a capable thermal binocular for general outdoor scanning and nighttime observation without moving into the higher-cost 640-resolution category.
This model is a good option for customers who value comfort, simplicity, and distance awareness, while keeping the overall purchase price more controlled.
Best For:
General field observation, property monitoring, wildlife viewing, and users who want a comfortable LRF thermal binocular at a more accessible price point.
Guide TN650LS Thermal Imaging LRF Binocular
640×480 @ 12µm | Laser Range Finder
The Guide TN650LS is the stronger all-around choice in the TN Normae Series. With a 640×480 thermal sensor and 12µm detector technology, it provides noticeably improved image detail compared with 400-resolution models.
The TN650LS is better suited for users who need more confident target recognition, clearer image structure, and improved performance when observing at greater distances. The integrated laser rangefinder adds practical distance information in the field, while the binocular-style body remains comfortable for longer use.
For many users, this model offers the best balance of image quality, price, and practical field performance in the current TN lineup. Third-party listings for the TN650 also describe it as a thermal bi-ocular with laser rangefinder and dual-eyepiece viewing designed to reduce single-eye fatigue.
Best For:
Users who want a higher-detail 640-class thermal binocular with LRF, suitable for serious outdoor observation, search work, and professional field use.
Guide TN650MS Dual-Sensor Thermal Imaging LRF Binocular
640×480 @ 12µm | Dual-Sensor System | Laser Range Finder
The Guide TN650MS is the most versatile model in the current Brandon Optics TN Normae lineup. It combines a high-resolution thermal imaging system with a dual-sensor platform, giving users more viewing flexibility than a thermal-only binocular.
This model is designed for users who may need both thermal detection and additional low-light visual information. The dual-sensor system can be especially useful in environments where thermal signatures identify the subject, while the visible/low-light channel helps provide more scene context.
For customers who want a more advanced observation tool rather than a thermal-only device, the TN650MS is the most capable and flexible option in this series. Guide describes the TN650MS platform as integrating a high-sensitivity thermal detector with a 4K low-light CMOS sensor for stable image performance under different lighting conditions.
Best For:
Professional observation, wildlife monitoring, search and rescue, coastal/security use, and customers who want both thermal detection and additional scene detail.
Choosing the Right Model
For a practical entry point into thermal binocular observation, choose the TN450LS.
For the best overall balance of image quality and price, choose the TN650LS.
For the most versatile viewing experience with a dual-sensor system, choose the TN650MS.
In most cases, the TN650LS will be the recommended model for customers who want a serious thermal binocular with strong image detail and LRF capability, while the TN650MS is better suited for users who want the added flexibility of dual-sensor observation.
